What is the sense behind that change? The sitename was used to tell from which friendica server the post came. I - for example - would love to keep my sitename there. I think we should make it configurable.

You might revert if it's working fine for you without the change. Tazman couldn't get it working in Red because the config location for sitename moved and he couldn't find it and this caused the cross-post to fail and I was asleep at the time so couldn't help and - so he hardwired it and figured Friendica should work exactly the same, which it doesn't.

It wasn't working as it was.
It needed to be fixed.
