Btw. what's the status of geonames and geocoordinates(1)? Is nominatim a replacement that actually works?

(1) Doesn't seem to do anymore what it is supposed to do.

Concerning geocoordinates: I had problems with it, but it seemed that simply the API key had been invalid. I created this addon since it doesn't need an API key. And AFAIK we don't violate their usage rules, so it should be okay.
