Bug Description

This is an initial bug note for in any case some further investigation.

Contact requests from one friendica stable instance to another is not working as expected.

A contact request from a profile from loma.ml [2026.01 (DB 1586)] does not show up in several profiles of tupambae.com [2026.01 (DB 1586)].

  • There has been no notification for the contact request and the profile does not show up in any of the contact tabs.

When visiting the profile itself on tupambae.com, the profile page declares:
"Awaiting connection acknowledgement"

  • The follow tab option is not available.

The drop down menu does not show the option of accepting the connection request but offers the follow option.
This is happening on the main profile and in one secondary account of that very main profile while a second secondary account has already established a relationship accepting the follow request by the loma.ml profile as mutual friendship.

Steps to Reproduce

It is not only difficult to recreate the situation, actually it is not possible to become aware of the request unless the distant contact mentions the fact of the contact request not being responded.

Expected Result:

  • Getting a standard notification about a connection request.
  • Displaying the pending request in the respective tab of the contacts page:
    /contact/pending

In the profile page:

  • Having the option of the following the profile with the follow TAB bellow the profile avatar.
  • Having displayed the option to accept (aknowledge) the follow request.
