I have just discovered https://open-meteo.com/ . It says, no API key is required, to use it.

Maybe that would be easier for Friendica admins, than https://openweathermap.org/, where an API key is needed.

Open-Meteo offers 10.000 API calls per day for free. OpenWeatherMap offers 1000 per day..

Maybe it is worth a look..
